In 1949 the United Nations played a part in kicking out the palestinians from their land and giving it to an outside force. Why shouldn't the United Nations assit the palestinian people in regaining their land (all 100% of it). If it was so easy for them to practically extradite the entire population of a country why can't they do the same thing to the invaders of their land?

Some times It makes me wonder, that UN is only working towards some selected parties needs and being not fair with it's decisions. The UN has failed at some very sensitive issues and only caring for the American interests.
It doesn't even seems like that UN is doing any effective work lately. The UN definitely failed in Palestinian issue, in Sudan, in Sri lanka and in many conflicts in Africa as well. I think UN should sound strong and understand the actual problems of the small nations.

This question can be debated to the end of time. Israelis and Palestinians will always fight over this land because they both feel they have a natural, God-given right to own it. So how do you decide who legally owns it? Well, you could go all the way back to biblical times and say the Canaanites, the ancestors to the Israelis, owned it, so therefore the Israelis today should own it. Or you could say that the takeover of the land by Muslims following the Crusades legitimized their claim to the land. Ultimately, no side will completely win because both feel there is a transcendentant force pushing for their side. You know how you can find out? When you die, ask God if he'll tell you the truth before he sends you on your way. No human being can tell you who the land really belongs to, no matter how vindicatively these present their case.

Actually the most important part in kicking the Palestinians out and bringing the Jews in Palestine was played by UK.Palestine was in 1947 under British mandate and they allowed a high number of Jews to come to Palestine in order to establish a homeland...
As for UN,UN doesn't do a thing unless US approves it and I really doubt that they are going to approve something that is not in Israel's best interests...

Do some research on the history of this part of the world and then resubmit your question as to who (Israeli ancestors or Palestinians) originated there.

The "Palestinians" didn't exist in the 1940s. That identity wasn't assumed, until an Egyptian led movement gave it to them in the 1960s.

And it wasn't the UN who kicked them out.. they did it themselves at the request of Arab leaders to make the planned genocide of Israel easier.
