It sounds like she is done with the marriage or she wants to be married but hold on to her independent lifestyle. A marriage cannot work long distance for most people. If you want her to be with you and she doedn't think she needs to be then obviously you both want different things in life. You have a child in TX and she should understand why it is very important for you to be near him. Good luck with whatever you do, but my opinion is for you to cut your losses.

I am wondering where you both lived before getting married. If you both have settled in California, then why did you move? If your son is living in Texas and is an adult now, what is the purpose of living there if he has his own life now. You need to let your son live his own life. I understand you want to be closer to your son, but you have your life with your wife.
Who are you married to...it is your wife. She needs you too. If you are not willing to live with your wife in California, then that shows that you are not committed to making your marriage work. You can always visit your son in Texas.

Unless there's a good reason why she doesnt want to live in CA then leave her if shes making you feel like she dont want you no more. It may be because shes seeing someone else.

Well, sounds like she's gonna make you choose. You be with me in CA or be with your son alone in TX. If my wife ever put me in that situation, then hasta la vista. Blood is thicker than water.

If she loves you she will want to be with you no matter where you go. If she doesn't come than she does not feel that you are truly united.
