Do you use products designed for oily skin? After you wash your face, does it feel tight and dry? If so try changing to a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer for combination skin, and see if this helps reduce the oiliness of your face. Surprisingly, it could be that you actually have dry skin, and the products you use are making it even drier, causing your skin to produce more oils in an attempt to compensate. It might also help to change the brand of products you use. What works for your friends may not be working as well for you.

Another thing that helps is to drink plenty of water, it helps moisturize your skin from the inside too.

Use a pore refining face wash, skin toner that you trust and find some kind of lotion (for oil spots, not normal lotion) or a light weight product to apply gently to your tzones that will dry the extra oil up. I use a variety of things to help mine and I have the same problem. It takes trial and error but when you find the stuff that works it will show! Check WarlMart first, that is usually cheaper. Good luck.

proactiv really works!!! you can also get those clean and clear sheets that remove oil from your face. they aren't necessarily only by clean and clear, there's some for different brands too. but i think the sheets will really help. they are in like a tiny container and they are small sheets that you rub on ur face and remove the oil/dirt in ur skin.
