Oh, those new fangled contraptions. All of those celleophones and microwavey thingy ma-jiggers. And those robotical whatsits. Can't keep up with them younguns, no surey.

They're too little to buy things themselves, but when they get something or play with someone else's toy, that's exactly what I'm thinking. My older kid was able to type her name on a keyboard (without assistance, long name) long before she could print it. She calls the Nintendo DS stylus a pen and needed no assistance figuring out how to use it. I read the manual. She's 5!

Yesgirl I know how u feel. My girls buy the weirdest stuff. My younger daughter asked me the other day if she could get a talking lawn mower. what kind of idiot makes up the idea for a talking lawn mower.

"Wasn't that the very same thing you girls glued the cat to yesterday?" And now the batteries are gone, the cat is depressed (and shaved in one area), and the girls have moved on to faster targets (the dog today, dad tomorrow).
