One time i moved 2hrs away from my friends and family. I didn't know anybody there except my bf and his family. It was hard at first to adjust to everything but i got use to being away from everyone but i kept in contact with them. My bf and I at the time lived like walking distance from some of his family members and lets just say him and I didn't work out b/c they were always in our business all the time. And they made my life a living hell. So I moved back home then i found my new love which is my husband now... And we only live about 30 miles from our family and friends so it isn't that bad...

Heck, my daughter took my granddaughter and moved 15 hours away just to be around a friend of hers and didn't know anyone else! Now that's ridiculous especially since she had never lived away from the city she was raised in. And, she didn't even have a job and was pregnant to boot!

Yes. I left my hometown a long time ago for reasons not as important as that. I did not know a soul in my new home which was 1800 miles away from my old one.

I did ...in 2005. After almost 40 years I reconnected with my boyfriend back then, we wrote, talked on the phone, I flew 2300 miles to see him again. One thing led to another and I moved out of my home state, away from my kids and here I am...happy as a clam at high tide! I IM, e-mail, and speak to my kids/grandkids/and friends back home several times a month and have made some good friends here.

yes,I did it for 13 nearly 14 years.I know that it's not the same as having family around, but it didn't take me long to make friends and some really good friends that became more like family.

Yes! He has done it for me and I will do the same! When you're that deep in love, it doesn't make a difference where you are as long you are with your beloved.

Yes...I did it 8 years ago. I moved to California from Illinois to be with a guy I met off of AOL. We are still together.
