i live in SF and am a giants fan. i really doubt anyone signs bonds. the only place he will be accepted in is in san francisco. only crappy teams would make a run for bonds but bonds wouldnt play for a bad team anyway. he is a big liability in left field so if he were to sign, he would have to do it in the AL. nobody with the exception of some giants fans would like to see bonds break the record which is the only reason why bonds is back. actually i know many giants fans who dont want barry back and we just want to move on without him.

I am sure many teams would sign Bonds. Especially teams with bad attendance. I could imagine him in Baltimore. They had Sammy Sosa and Palmero, why not the 3rd steriod junkie?

Someone said we should give Bonds a break and then mentioned his father! This is exactly why we should not give Bonds a break. His father Bobby was a great player and his Godfather, Willie Mays, is one of the greatest who ever played. Barry has embarrassed himself and tainted his name. He grew up around baseball. He grew up with the baseball's greats. How their work ethic did not rub of on Barry is such a shame. I just canot understand how the apple could have fallen so far from the tree. No, Barry does not get any breaks. Thesubject of steriods was brought up a couple years ago and the accusations ran rampant when he broke McGuire's single season record. BUT HE CONTINUED TO USE ANYWAY. Testing postive last year was a slap in the face. It was like Pete Roses' denial of ever betting on baseball and then BAM...He admits to lying and makes fools out of all his supporters. No, Barry had his "break" time and time again. When you are born with a silver bat in your mouth you should be respectful of what you got. But Barry bitched because it was not platinum enncrusted with diamonds.

I think there are many teams who would want bonds on their team. The first question is, who is bonds willing to play for? then, out of those teams, who is willing to take a chance on him and will his production on the field be worth all the drama off the field and in the clubhouse. 10 extra reporters in the clubhouse after every game, bonds questions in every interview of every player at every press conference. i dont think its worth it for anyone considering he will probably be hurt most of the season anyway. If he doesnt play for the Giants this year then I think the only way we will see Bonds is if a playoff team picks him up at the end of the season the strengthen their lineup for the playoffs.

The latest rumors are that the Giants are not going to sign him. I am sure someone will sign him, but for a lot less than he wants. If he really want to play the best place for him would be in the American League where he can DH.

give the guy a break. he hit a lot of homers. can anyone even think that he is the only player that may have been on dope. his dad was a hero to all baseball fans and that just might have had something to do with his attitude to the media. and yes i am a giants fan and have seen many games at candlestick. been at night games when the fareweather fans were in oakland or turned into dodger fans sitting at home waiting for the giants to get beyond second place in the nl west

Undoubtedly, someone will. You might not like the guy, but if your team needed help at the end of the season in a tight pennant race, I'm sure a lot would look the other way. Although I'm an Orioles and Nationals fan, I wouldn't want to see him play for my teams. In the end, he is far from the only jerk in baseball.

as the saying goes if there is a God then the answer would be No and he'd be out of baseball
but, with things the way things are now a days I bet there will be many teams looking at him.
my opinion is he is the biggest joke out there.
If anyone should be kept out of the hall it's Bonds

I'd have to say that's unkown. Teams will definitely try to get him, most likely an AL team will make him an offer. But until he gets it in his head less than 10 players playing right now are worth 16 million, and he's not one of those players, no one will sign him. He's a bad player now, I mean he can hit the longball occasionaly, but he's not even going to be as good as he was in his rookie year.

I bet the Yanks or Red Sox would just to keep the other one from doing it. He actually would probably hit a ton of homers in either park, especially Yankee stadium, but he'd sneak a lot over that little foul pole in Boston too...

Yes but if they are smart they will offer a minimum contract. I don't think Bonds will sign if the price isn't right.
