Do you wear the pants or are you submissive? Are you the stay-at-home one or the breadwinner. If you had to give yourself some kind of marriage role label, what would you mostly fit under?

Guess I come from the "old school." I still believe the man should be the head of th household but now adays, it takes two to keep that household together. One should not more or less "wear the pants" in the family, but personally, I feel alot better when I know the man is taking care of me and is in more control. I used to be a stay at home mom and I think families were alot closer than.

I went from a cushy government job to a stay at home mom. I'm very fortunate that my hubby has allowed me the luxury and option of doing that...however, some days can be pretty mind numbing being with my toddlers all day, everyday...BUT I also sell on/off on ebay...act as an accountant for family finances...downside is lack of adult interaction....but wouldn't trade my toddlers baby years for anything.

Since I'm now alone I'm everything but when my husband was living I was submissive and he was quite the Dom (bless his controlling soul). I liked it that way. It seemed natural and I felt loved and protected. He understood me and never make a decision that didn't have my best interests at heart. I couldn't have followed his lead had he not been trustworthy.

I'm a homemaker and a full-time mom. I take care of the house, do most of the stuff for our kids (baths, meals, drive them, take care of them when they're sick, etc.), cook, take care of our pets (3 cats, 1 dog), run errands, etc.

My husband works a lot of hours sometimes and works out-of-town and out-of-state every couple of weeks. So keeping things running smoothly is mostly on me. Which I'm fine with.

I'm an old school kind of gal, so not working outside the home suits me fine. :-)

I usually consider labels silly and unnecessary.
Right now, my husband is working while I am finishing school. Next year, I will be working while he finishes school. We collaborate and work together to do what needs to be done in our relationship to keep it strong and healthy.
My husband is the spiritual leader in our household, but I keep track of our finances. We have different strenghts, and therefore different roles.

I would say a stay at home mom who wears the pants and my husband actually likes it. Sometime I let him have his way though. Stay blessed!

I wear the pants in certain situations, like social life planning, home decoration and how often and when and where to have sex, but hubby decides where we spend out money, and hmmm well that's about it, so maybe I'm the head cheese? wow.

There shouldn't be who wears the pants or who brings in the money. When you are married or in a relationship it should be partners.

I am the proud bread winner. My wife is the boss and accountant...if not, I'd be the bread loser.
