is there somewhere in the law that if you get off from work in a certain time and have to return before 12 hours that your first hour should be time and a half? I close my store and have to open the next morning always returning before 12 hours and they pay me regular pay. is this legal?

ask the labor board. and is there a union? if it is law you will have back pay coming to you but you will need a lawyer and you will probably lose your job

I think you're barking up the wrong tree, but it would be a good idea to check the labor laws in your area to get the truth.

You should visit the Department of Wage and Labor website of your state. You could easily find that out. I don't know where you live, so I have no clue.
Just google "Department of Wage and Labor" with the initials of your state...
so for New York it'd be
"Department of Wage and Labor NY"
Hope that helps
