So the past few weeks of my life everything has been really strange and disconnected. I feel like I am living in a dream and its really wierd. I have been getting the regular sleep I always do but everything has just felt really wierd, almost like a slight high. I'm just wondering if this is like a common thing or a condition or what

Jake, first ensure that you have no physical issues like, headaches, light handedness, gastric problems, breathing difficulty - if you do consult a physician.

If you are consuming drugs, prescribed or otherwise, consult a physician.

Now, the remaining consideration - the reality that we know is simply a construct in our head, our mind organizes data from the senses into a coherent whole. There are some people for whom this organizing process is inefficient. There are gaps in the mind that create a feeling of dis-connectedness. The person senses the world as less real, or odd, weird, different than before. There is nothing wrong with this as long as you remain psychologically healthy. Many artists and creative people report the same "condition" as you do.

I don't think it's a common thing by any means. If things feel strange and disconnected, trying talking with someone you know and trust about the experience. It does not sound normal; but not necessarily a bad thing. If you feel disoriented, maybe see your doctor or go to the ER and discuss the situation if a trusted friend is not available. You seem to be calling it a "high;" but you have not given the Yahoo Answers community enough detail to give you good advice as to whether you are experiencing a dangerous problem or a manageable situation. Has something happened or changed?

Did you recently go through something stressful, or super time consuming? I always feel that way when I am trying to reintegrate my mind to the real world lol.

I'd open the windows in your home and air out the place. Sounds like chemical intoxication.
