ok, lets say u are married to your lover. One day, u arrive home and u see your spouse cheating on you by having sex with someone else. You snap, and you murder your spouse and the other person. I remember a FEDERAL LAW that protects you from criminal charges because your reaction was based on emotional attachment or something like that. I would love to know if anyone knows what i am talking about. THX‼

It is considered a "Crime of Passion," but is still tried and sentenced as a crime. Moral of the story: don't let your emotions determine your actions.

Well this is a very complicated question. I am not a lawyer or so..but i am adict to *court tv* i saw a lot of cases every day, and never hear such a thing. The fact is: you kill some one. you go to jail! BUT the sentence can be different if you planned or if you kill based on a reaction. I hope you are not planning to kill no body...lol...

think u may still go to prison, just not worth it, we do have free will, we can choose to do right or wrong. think it just wouldn't be worth ruining one's life over, as the man didn't love u anyway, and u didn't have his love anyway, so what have u really lost but a bruised ego. think u would still go to jail even if it was because of emotions, as we do have control over our emotions.

First of all, in ANY situation in life, you have a choice on how to act. You can choose to blow-up and face the consequences, or you can choose to handle it in a more mature matter. It's entirely up to you.

Well, if you committed this act you would be convicted of murder because your question shows intent making it premeditated.
