You don't have to worry about the manufacturer and all that, pretty much any standard memory will work. Also, although I don't know too much about this, the only thing you really have to worry about it memory slots and making sure that there is enough room for the memory you bought.

When putting it in, there should be extra slots next to the memory for additional memory. Simply put the memory cards in there.

You can get any brand of RAM, as long as it is the correct type (in this case, DDR SD.) You can get RAM sticks that have 1024 MB (1 gigabyte) that can replace your current RAM stick that you are using, or you can get another 512 MB stick, to use in addition to the 512 MB stick you already have, which would be cheaper. For more information, refer to your computer's User Manual (if you have one), or consult a retailer of Computers and accessories.

na its not necessary to get of the same size
but make sure tht u get of the same frequency
difference in frequency might create a problem
i am using 2 memory one of 256 MB and another of 512 MB but they are of same frequency
and confirm that RAM is DDR or SD
it cant be both
bring the same type RAM
best to bring of the same manufacturer
different manufacturers RAM will also do but we should go for best.
ok

Judging from the question, you are not into games, etc., and maybe you need to clean up that bad boy and save your money? 512 is respectable, and all the RAM in the world will not overcome the processor speed.

If a pc became previous adequate to have SIMM reminiscence modules, it likely might want to've shipped with homestead windows ninety 5. also...the pcs i have considered with SIMM modules maxed out at 128MB. so as that would want to properly be undesirable information. So except it became upgraded from ninety 5, it likely has SDRAM DIMM 168-pin reminiscence modules. besides the undeniable fact that, there is no thanks to appeal to close for positive without doing like became stated above...take it out and seem at it or run some kind of analyzer software. both one in all those methods will likely no longer confirm your optimal. once you've 128MB in only one slot, one really secure technique might want to be to easily upload 128MB in the subsequent slot. you'll nonetheless favor to appeal to close what form, besides the undeniable fact that.
