Both parents were alcoholics. I don't have any friends to hang out with so when I go out and get really drunk and feel like a make a fool out of myself. I used to live in a large city and my drunken behavior was normal, but now I live in a very small town and people think I'm some kind of wild woman.. I don't know what to do. Many of my so called buddies won't hang out with me because I get too rowdy, but I don't know how to control my alcohol

I agree with the guy above me...I'ld go to AA, it's a lot easier to go to AA than a rehab, and if your court ordered you have no choice. Don't get mad at me, but I'm only using what you said. You said "when I go out and get really drunk and feel like a make a fool out of myself."...the reason you feel this way is because you did make a fool out of yourself..."I used to live in a large city and my drunken behavior was normal"...a drunken behavior is never normal, except to a drunk..."Many of my so called buddies won't hang out with me because I get too rowdy"...then your too rowdy. You also said " I'm a serious binge drinker" and "but I don't know how to control my alcohol" ... a serious binge drinker can't control their alcohol!!! Let me advise you ahead of time, once you become clean, many of your buddies won't hang out with you because you don't drink!!! I know it will be hard not to drink Sweetie, and even though I really don't know you, you are a sweet person down inside and you do care!!! Your a person with many feelings, along with a sense of pain from your past. Like the guy above me said...try to go to an AA meeting. You don't have to talk, and what makes sense to you keep it with you and what don't leave it at the meeting.

You can't control it. When you are addicted to something, no matter what it is, it is uncontrollable. You need to stop it. You can't drink anymore. You will notice a huge change in your life if you stop. Find an AA meeting and go and listen, and you will hear your story. Then you'll find people who will be there to help you get sober. Do yourself a huge favor, and get help. Binge drinking can be deadly. Good luck.
