hey Maxx I was attempting to bring it down so you right wing fetus huggers would understand as you chant God hates fags under your breathe...... Cheney on several occations made the statement that the men responsible for the twins towers had links to Iraq..... Fox sucked it up and shoved it down veiwers throats like it was a jello shot at a frat party. They are a poor excuse for "news". O'Reily rants about the Daily Show but at least they admit they make it up.

Wow! This one is sure to bring a hailstorm. We are in Iraq because of 3 things:
1. Weapons of Mass Destruction (Saddam used them, he must have had them at some point) Point made by Clinton and Gore before GW was in White House.
2. Violation of UN. war treaties - shooting at American pilots is a direct violation of the treaty that ended the first gulf war. You break a treaty, the prior war is back in effect. 12 years of violations and UN resolutions all laughed at. Included was a failure to allow UN inspectors in. Saddam may have been trying to look tough, but he didn't have the force to back up this blunder.
3. Human rights violations - we found mass graves filled with dead bodies. George didn't put the bodies there, Saddam did.

I'm not asking you to suddenly be for the Iraq war, but Saddam was a world class turd and something had to be done. Negotiations were tried for 12 years.

Now bring on the condemnation!

Um ... I don't understand why you are looking for Fox News watchers to answer when you have stated explicitly that only Fox News watchers seem to think there is a link. You've already answered your own inquiry.

Also, adding commentary to the end of your question, like, "It's really a sad state of affairs," already shows you have a bias and probably aren't really interested in an answer-just in making yourself feel smarter than the "Fox News watchers."

I am a watcher of Fox News. No, there is no reason to believe Iraq was involved with 9/11.

The argument was made that Iraq had connections with Al Quaida and supported terrorism. I do not believe Fox or the administration made the claim that the Saddam administration had a direct connection with 911. One more time for the slower liberals out there, this is a war on terrorism not the war on the guys who committed the Tower attacks.

No they didn't. However I think what the majority of citizens of the US forgets is the speech that President Bush made after 911.

I am paraphasing here, but he said it was going to be a long war, that not all victories would be seen. That it was going to take scarifice of the American people. And of course who wasn't with us is against us.

Iraq is a continuing battle on the fight of terriorism.

I firmly believe that as a country we are turning into a bunch of lazy, spineless, and selfcentered people who sooner or later won't know enough to get out of rain.
