If you check on my profile you'll see I asked a question about racism. And that was why it was okay for blacks to make fun of whites in the media, but not vice versa. I also have this question. Why is it in school, such as my college, there are funds and clubs for different types of races but not white?
For example when I was in high school there was a "African American Society" "Pacific Islanders" and "Latino Pride" club. We also has special days such as "African Pride Day" etc. There was an incident where a fellow student of mine attempted to begin a club called "The American Caucasion Group". It got declined because they said that making a club like that was being racist. Theres a huge double standard.
My question is why is there college funds, clubs, and other things that they have for every race except for white?

No offense. Just opinion. Scholarships: Many scholarships are aimed at fostering ambitious individuals so they can become productive citizens. Minorities, because of where they come from socio-economically, are more ambitious in their desire to advance their lives. This is for the ones who see school as their way out. These individuals are more likely to succeed in school given the chance than many middle class whites. I grew up with almost all white friends, their parents paid for their school, they goofed off, dropped out. Scholarsip committees can't differentiate from the whites who really want to go to school or the ones who are just going because their parents are making them. Minorities, on the other hand, usually don't have their parents paying their way in school resulting in more ambitious individuals who will jump at the chance for an education. If I sponsored a scholarship, I would give to to minorities. They are simply better investments, philanthropically speaking.

Are you kidding? There are many clubs for Caucasian people, in fact most clubs and social organizations are Caucasian based: the Shriners, the Masons, the Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Camp Fire girls, etc.... There have been clubs, organizations,and college funds set up for minority races in order to bridge the gaps that exist in society, to allow these groups a few of the advantages afforded to Caucasians.

Because here in America whites are the "standard". As far as the media, beauty etc. We minorities aren't represented as whites are. That's why you have these groups and and college funds.

I wouldn't blame your friend for thinking at that kind of level, but she has to understand she can't change HISTORY. it's our past that makes us who we are. Also, most colleges are looking for diversity on their grounds, which is great.

whites do make fun of blacks don't you see bet when the white comedians are talking about blacks and there ways and its funny when they do it because its true and they know what there talking about .. probably from hanging out with blacks
