I beleive that if we were ever invaded by an alien life form from another planet, all racsit people white, black, brown, yellow and red would quickly focus their hateful energy toward the invading enemy. would it take a crisis like this for racists' to then understand we are one family?

The problem with racism is that it always sneaks its way into the next generation or in another culture or country.

The Bible is right when it says, "The heart is desperately wicked..." Racism is more than a disease that can not be conquered by a shot in the arm. It is more like anger that can spring up without warning.

One sad thing about racism, people who have it may not know it, and those who know it, believe they are justified in displaying it.

No, sadly enough people have justifications for there actions. If you can talk yourself into believing you are better and higher up for a reason and hating other people is okay then you don't feel that bad when you have justifications. People are just full of anger and hate. Also, in crisis we do pull together. Just like around the holidays we are a bit more giving. Afterward however. We just go back to how we are. For that one moment all might band together but then it will all get lost.

Possibility 1
The world will end through a natural catastrophie before the end of racism.

Possibility 2
Education and economic globalisation will end the racism in the next 5 to 15 generations.

We could not be able to win alien war because if they come to Earth, they are way ahead from us. Forget "Independence Day".

I think that there would still be some discrimination amongst the human beings. One group of people might question why another group isn't doing their fair share of the protecting. Unity would be very difficult. And then, we would probably be racist to the aliens. The aliens could help human beings, maybe, maybe not. But human beings have never had much humility, so we will probably think that we're better than the aliens.

No. There will always be racism.
But when in time of a crisis like the 911 tragedy at the World Trade Center, all ethnic backgrounds came together to help each other.
that is the norm.

Just like in the movie "independence day"
and as soon as the enemy is defeated we will go back to hating each other again.

Good thought. There will never be a time with racism because there will never be a time when there are just intellect people.
There is racism even here on Yahoo answers.
Sad isn't.
