Social differences (including family, class, religion, etc) are some of the hardest to overcome. What this means is that people of two different social classes have a harder time overcoming the obstacles placed between them (think Romeo and Juliet) because they are so pervasively placed.
In regards to wealth, alot of guys feel pressure to 'succeed' and be successful. In those kinds of circles, that means marrying the 'right' kind of girl. Even if they are attracted to a different type of person, they can often turn her down because to not do so would bring strong social pressure on them, maybe even more than they can bear (parents threaten to cut them off is #1). More so, the friends who are dating the 'right' kind of girl will act as a peer pressure group, especially if their relationship with you somehow reflects negatively upon them (like showing them how shallow their choice was).
More often than not, the preferences we have are related to the kind of person we are most likely to be compatible with. This does not mean that every dark-haired woman I meet, am attracted to, or date (for example) is going to make me happy. What it simply means is that I will most likely be happier with a dark haired woman than one who is blonde. It could also mean that the preference I have is one that is meant to guide me to the person I can be happy with, so that even if the dark-haired girl I meet tomorrow doesn't work out, I shouldn't give up hope.
Failure only reflects a lack of attempt. Do something enough times and you will eventually succeed. Maybe even one of the guys who chose the 'right' kind of girl is learning that the 'right' kind of girl is only right to some people and not him.

You have as much value as they do. You are the owner of a multibillion celled machine as wealthy as anyone. And perhaps you also the creditor of an intelligence far beyond anyone else. You have so much that no way can a little thing like that bother you. Stop picking and be picked and turn things around. The fact that you like those people above all the other things that happen shows you have more value than you give yourself credit for.

Since you have been given the oportunity to go to a wealthy school and strenghthen your talents and capabilities, take it! Try a new approach- ignore them! Sometimes taking a new approach and concentrating on what you are good at gets the attention of more people than if you focus less on your abilities and concentrate on other people instead! This is just my theory, but I'm willing to bet it works and helps you out! Not only will you get better grades, but I bet you will have people phoning you or coming to your residence asking you for your help, and even asking you out for dinner!

Like often falls for like. It could also be family related reasons. Other than that, keep trying. Different people wait different amounts of time to meet someone special.

To me, love is not about material weath or looks, it is about inner beauty. You appear to be "rich" with inner beauty and if these guys just go for the dumb rich blondes, then they are just as stupid and like a "gold digger". The guy who will end up with you will be the best, hope this helps.
