It's always hard to have one band that's your fave.
If I was Forced to decided I'd say The Beatles.
Bottom line - I can enjoy 99% if their songs. With the Beatles there is such a blend of pop, rock, R&B, and everything you mentioned. They could draw from all those genres. To me there are very few songs that I can't listen to and get some enjoyment from - very few that I always skip.
I also admire their work greatly becuase it was so original. From their start - even their lyrics varied greatly from the usual, pop song - right from their first album and single. I feel that they were pioneers. I do, however, they did, however, have many influences who were also pioneers in popular music - from many of the different kinds of music, above...

Our Lady Peace. Best all time song 4am. Its my life summed up to the dot. Its scary how closely related I am to it. OLP just kicks ***. My life is now complete, I can die happy, I sang the last half of "where are you" in the Calgary May 1, 2006 show. Woot!
