why do some poeple make plan and cant keep up to it?

Maybe they have good intentions but lack the motivation to see the plan through. That's my problem. Especially if it's something I want to do. If it's to do something for someone else, I can usually manage. I will volunteer to do something or tell someone I will go somewhere and it sounds like a good idea at the time. Then when it comes down to it, even if it may be something half way enjoyable, I don't want to but am committed to it and could kick myself for suggesting it in the first place. But, I will do it. If it's something just for me, I usually just figure I'll do it later, when in reality, I know it will never get done. I guess I don't mind being a disappointment to myself, just to other people. I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but that's how it is for me.

In my experience

Often people are not actually making a plan, more agreeing they will do something because they cant say no, they have no intention of doing what they agree to. Even though this outcome can leave more bad feeling than just saying no.

People plan and either don't consider what they have already committed to or new commitments come up.

Old habits interfere, willpower, the outcome/results of the plan does not motivate them enough, etc

I'm always thiking "ok when I get home I'm gunna clean my room since we're having guests today!" When i get home I just stop caring...
