ok so at school i have this friend and she will talk to me in gym class but when one of her other friends is around during lunch they ignore me.is she my friend?

I would say shes more of an aquaintance if you only talk during gym class. Perhaps she has no one else to talk to during gym so she creates small talk with you, but when shes with her good friends she would rather talk to them than you. If you get to know her better, she will probably start treating you like more of a friend and not just some girl she knows. Talk to her outside gym class, even if its just saying "hi" in the halls. Eventually you will warm up to eachother as better friends.

I would say she is more of an acquaintance. She is is playing the popularity game, and you are being sacrificed. Unfortunately a lot of folks do this as they are growing up. Don't cut her off, but don't let her walk all over you. Find some new friends to be around also.

No. I had one friend like that, & I found out why she did that later on. She's popular, & I knew that. She was my friend, though, & I knew that her being popular was actually a good thing. Sometimes, it is, anyways. Well, when it was just me & her, she was really cool. When she'd get around her "popular" friends, she'd ignore me. I found out what it was, & I was mad. Don't be friends with someone who gives you mixed signals. If you have to ask,"Is she my friend?", then most likely she's more of what you'd call a jerk. Move on, hun.

she's talking to you about what?
if she is not sharing anything peronal
then maybe all she wants is company..
check your gym class if her other friends are there
if not she only wants something from you,
if yes maybe you are her friend but not the close one

she is your friend. she probably talks to everybody in any of her classes. it's good to have friends in all of your classes right? however, sometimes, this friendship doesn't have to be the same outside the classroom. just don't expect too much from the friendship she can give. :-)

nope. friends dont ignore each other. she should talk to you at all times, not necessarily hang out 24/7 but not ignore you either
