Fibercon has fiber therapy in pill form. 18 and older take 2 pills a day and follow with a full glass of water to ensure the pills don't swell in your throat... double check on the bottle because you may grab a different dosage then me and so your dosage would be smaller or less depending on what type you get. Also make sure the bottle says safe for everyday use. It will take about two days of this to have a BM and after that you need to continue with fiber to prevent this form happening again. Eat plenty of fruits and vegis for the fiber in addition to fiber therapy and you will have relief sooner.

the safest least discusting way is lots of water and vitamin C. you can just increase your vitamin C intake a little at a time by eating and drinking fruit or vitamins chewable or non. of course increase your fruits and veggies. I find grapes work really well.

strangely enough I understand that having cigerete once a day or when needed can help. Not that I would really suggest taking up smoking.hehe

Uhg. I experienced a good bout of constipation after a round of rather hardcore antibiotics and it certainly wasn't fun.

A supplement like metamucil work very well for periodic problems.

Dulcolax is good for more severe cases. If you want immediate relief and are willing to swallow your pride for a bit, a suppository is a good option.

ahh, remember to relax, too. A hot bath can work wonders, too.

Try some organic coffee. Also organic wheat or grainy bread. Why organic? If not there are preservatives and chemicals in it that constipate you. Try doing some "cleanses". There is a book by Dr. Cabot that helps a lot or go to naturalcures.com. I give my cat mineral oil and it works like a charm....

do not ignore the urge to go
drink plenty of fluids
get plenty of exercise (activity)
avoid constipating foods (starches, milks, cheeses, junk foods)
eat more vegetables
limit laxatives so you don't get dependent on them and then can't go
but if you are a good doobie and still get constipated, first try a glycerin suppository. if that doesn't work, then try a mineral oil enema, and if that doesn't work, you may have to dis-impact yourself with lots of petroleum jelly and a gloved finger...

Rub your navel and the area around it gently for five minutes three times a day. Also take bran tablets. They do wonders.
