I think that staying a virgin until marriage is something that is really hard to do for a lot of people right now and I think that it is impressive that you are a virgan and are so adamant about staying one until married. I think that's really cool. I wasn't a virgin when I got married, but I really wish I had been. I had only been with one other guy, but I still regret that because I really wish my husband had been my first, that would have made our marriage that much more special.

I agree with you. To give up to a stranger or someone who has not vowed to commit to care and spend their lives until death with you and the taking of your virginity that belongs to your marriage mate is shameful.
You are denying your marriage mate what only belongs to them.
I found this out when I got married to the woman I truly love.
The world treats virginity as something you should throw away a soon as puberty begins. Look at the trouble, pain and scars it has caused people. Abortions, diseases, low respect to hundreds of thousands of young people. The media treats sex as frivolous fun but the reality never lives up to it. STD clinics are never short of patients some it has cost them their lives.
Your quote: "guy is a dork if he's involuntarily a virgin but if he's VOLUNTARILY a virgin then he's cool and sexy."
I do not like your attitude there and that is a bit vain of you to say that considering you are high on the morality issue. You value virginity but heck if your a dork then best you do anything to get laid find an equal ugly girl or something. You do set the tone of double standards.

in my honest opinion when i lost my virginity it was because I wanted to...I think mostly i was tired of seeing every biblethumper in the world claim that virginity was the next big thing. I got tired of being scrutinized for being gay which im not and I wondered what the big deal is. The first two times i did it i thought it sucked.
HONESTLY...If i ever meet a woman who we decide were going to spend the rest of our lives with (which at this point will be never) then i would be ashamed to be her man b/c ive slept with other women besides her.

When I was a virgin I was not ashamed of it, but when I "lost my virginity" I wasn't ashamed either. The only time I ever felt ashamed of sex was when I was raped. And I came to understand that I shouldn't feel ashamed of that either. Virginity really isn't anything that special. I accually think it would have been weird to get married as a virgin. How could I be sure what is was I liked? What I looked for in a sexual partner? Uggh..what if you husband had turn out to suck in bed?!?!

If you can live with yourself that way great. Virginity is just someone who has not had intercourse. And you arent the only one. And it is your body and your life and you have the right to do as you please. Having sex is quite natural and it happens when it happens if it does happen. And usually it does. It will happen when you decide. And there is always the social comments from peers and society in general. Be it what it may, you sound comfortable with it and that is good. Many people who are virgins are afraid of the unknown. Whatever.

My dear, this depends on ones self belief and the society which he r she belong. This changes from time to time and society to society. (Society is main factor). Many countries face this problem at transition stage. The best way is 1. To go in line with coinscience and soul comfort (what we beileve correct), 2. Not to be singled out from society.

Virginity just means you haven't had sex yet.
It means something is lacking. Something is missing.
Saying virginity is a great thing is like saying hunger is a great thing.
