Can anybody tell me about software that hides gives another ip address insead of your own?

how much does it cost?
what does the average software like this cost? is it better to pay some money for it , instead of getting the "free" stuff off of the internet?

are there limits to it any software like this?

does it maybe only use a limited number of false ips and then when it is used up , you are again on your own?
