ha ha ha. Asking me if I'm a morning person is like asking me if I can play basketball. The answer is no. I get up at 5:30 almost every morning to feed the horses and don't get to bed until 10:00.
The other day was horrid. We left for Chicago at about 8:00 and didn't get home until around 10:15. We went to go see Wicked with about 20 kids from our school. On the way home I fell asleep for maybe 30 min., then the rest of the way a guy was using me as a pillow (some of the other people in the van thought it was a picture oppertunity....grr...) I wasn't very happy the next day.

Yes, I understand what you mean. I have a 21 mo old and a 6 mo old and Im a stay at home mom. I would love the chance to sleep in but my son doesnt let me. Hes the typical toddler that can't sit still for 2 seconds and is climbing all over me the minute he wakes up. What is it with kids and waking up at the exact same time every morning? Don't they know that mommy doesnt have that ability? LOL! Its like they have an inner alarm clock or something yet once they turned teenager, the clock gets shattered up against the wall.

I'm not a mommy, but because of my dad who got me up at 5am every morning when I was a baby to feed me before he left for work and so my mom could sleep a little longer, I've grown accustomed to it. I don't even need an alarm anymore. I can wake up before 5:30 now, no problem. On the weekends, it's a pain, but oh well, what can you do, right?

No. I do wake up early, but I don't do anything but drink some coffee, take my meds, and listen to songs or watch TV.
I don't clean, go out, cook, even shower until I've been awake at least two hours. So I'm awake, but very groggy.
Fortunately, my kids are grown now--one of them used to "sneak" up at about 4AM. He would eat everything he could find in the fridge, and tippytoe around so no one would wake up. He was about three years old at that time.

Yes I am a morning person. I have no kids, but when I get up I am sickening happy and in a great mood. That seems to be the best way to start out a new day. :)

When I was a kid, I used to love getting up early -- the earlier the better! Now that I'm a college student (staying up late to study and finish papers), I try to sleep in as long as I can. On the weekends, if undisturbed, I can sleep until 11:00.
Your kids sound like fun. If you don't wake with them, do they try to make their own breakfast, like I tried to do when I was a kid? If so, I sympathize.
Wishing you many fun-filled mornings with your kids! =)

I used to be a morning person, early bird.. I guess I still am considering I go to bed around 3:30-4am, and get up by 11am.

I'm the worst kind of morning person. I go to bed really late and then find it impossible to sleep past 8! lol

No, even after getting up almost every morning for school. I'd rather sleep during the day and be up at night. It's more peaceful at night.
