Most certainly you can, given the following are met:

1) That the new arrival is also a water turtle (Box turtles and Russian Tortoises won't work as they need a different living environment).
2) That the size of the encloser is large enough not to crowd them together.

Red Ears are, by nature, very social. Males get somewhat competitive if females are present, but even then injuries from fighting are extremely rare.

Yes you can it depends on if its the same type of turtle. Red Eared Slider Turtles get along with each other very well. In fact if you don't have lots of rocks in the tank they just stack on top of each other and relax.

How big is your turtle and how big is your tank? If you have the room it's another red eared slider of similar size, sure. I'd recommend against mixing different species, though.

Here's a website that you can use to figure out how much room you will need for your turtle(s):

Yes just make sure the tank is large enough to keep both turtles in the same tank

It really depends on the size of the tank, the sliders can live together but if the tank is too small then it really isn't a possibility. one slider should have atleast and I mean atleast 40 gallons but I don't know about two.
