Bought a new GPU and Now it won't fit there is a motherboard power connector blocking the way. Can i trim the corner of the GPU to clear the connector? What do i do?

That is really unfortunate.....but I certainly wouldn't trim the card.....because if you ruin it you can't return it. Is the connector essential or in use...I think I would use a blade to trim down the connector housing if possible...or consider a different card.

Do not trim the card, because 1) you'll more than likely screw it up, and 2) you won't be able to return it if trimming it doesn't work. See if you can move the power connector around. Or, take out the power connector, put in the card, then try to see if you can place the power connector back in. If not, you're probably going to have to buy another power connector, one that's long enough to go around the card.

NO, DO NOT trim anything on the X1950PRO you will destroy it.

I'm assuming the power connector is being used?
Your only option is to try to push down the wires on the power connector and try to fit the card.

Post the model of your motherboard so I can see the connector you are talking about?
