I have contacts but I get protein spots very often. Having to replace the contact every two to three weeks. Theres got to be a way to get these spots off without throwing away the contact so soon.

Are they disposable? If so then they are meant to be thrown away....

But, if they're supposed to last a month, then it may be your lens solution. I tried the no rub for a while, but it did not work on mine. The protein just built up. But then I went back to rubbing them (even with no rub solution), and it worked. Maybe that'll help?

You didn't mention what kind of contacts you have. I used to wear contact lenses years ago and was told that the tears your eyes use to lubricate themselves contain protein, thus the source. I had to treat my lenses with an enzymatic solution from time to time to prevent protein buildup. You might want to check to see if you can use an enzyme treatment on the kind of lenses you have.

Don't fall for the "no-rub" nonsense. I tried it, didn't work but when I started rubbing them again, no protein.

Then again, some contacts are meant to last for short periods of time.
