If wireless, your PC or Laptop probably has an old 'B' wireless card, which is 10mbps.

Or, if regular ethernet cat-5 card, it is an older 10 , not a 10/100.

A 'G' wireless will typically connect at 54mbps, the super G at 108, a 10/100 will connect at 100, assuming newer DSL router.

These are the speeds between your PC and the Router. Your DSL most likely does not get any better than 4mbps and a cable modem no higher than 8mbps out to the head end. You will never get better effective speeds than this no matter what kind of interfaces you have on the local side.

That is the speed of your LAN or if you are not on a LAN it is only the speed between your computer and your DSL modem / router.

That is the connection speed between your modem/router and your computer, not what you are getting from your ISP.
