I have those big candles to decorate the room in which I live and I burn them almost every day.
I really like them but the substances having been used to make them are unknown to me and so I worry whether I inhale anything harmful or not!

Basically, aromatic candles aren't really intended for daily use. It's more about creating a mood for a few hours while you relax or just masking odors. They contain oils or resins. These are released when you burn them and they eventually leave a residue on everything in your house which if you don't clean could become noticeable. You might touch a table or something and it would feel a bit slick.
Anyway, burning these things displaces oxygen in the air around you and can eventually build up residues in your lungs and nasal passages if you use them in large amounts and frequently around your house. The overall effect is similar to clove cigarettes and incense which will make any allergies or other respiratory conditions you have even worse over time.
I recommend after burning the candles that you crack a door or few windows open to let some fresh air in.
