Printer prints slow but continues to print only faster after I close every thing out?

Printer use spools to store document before it can be print. Spools use system memory and if you have other apps running they will use up all the ram. The printer has to wait for the system app to release the RAM before it can print. By closing all apps you give back all the ram that the printer needed. Install more RAM will help printing speed.

you probably need more memory in your computer your programs including printing need memory. Close out more programs when printing.

what do you shut down?????
if you meant shutting down the comp then it's probably because it was too busy,

IN PRINTER OPTION THERE ITS HAS A OPTION SAYING PRINTER SPEED YOU CAN INCREASE AND DICRSEAE IT ANY TIME
