Go to "Search" in the start menu, type in *.mp3, *.wma, *.m4a (whatever music format extension your music files have) under "All or part of the file name" box. You would be able to find where the music files went, the Search will tell you the location also.

do a search (start button, search) and look for files that end with MP3. for a name type *.MP3. The star will find all files that end with MP3

It all depends, if they were just misplaced u can use the embedded search function in your computers OS, or u can recover ur systemto a previous time.

i don't know about any free software that can recover them...although i think there is many of them, but i use Norton System Works

is it a windows or mac? look in the recycle bin mine sometimes goes missing but it eventually turns up
