dear hippie... you are not a real hippie or even close cuz
1. you wouldn't be listening to this kind of music and
2. you are not a true punker cuz these are not the original punkers of the day, so don't go slamming 6th graders who have a right to listen to whatever they want as well as you!
and, now, 3. since i am from the era of the true punk rocker---
I will choose a little known band called Johnny Rotten and the Sexpistols, as well as The Clash -best ever- and yes, The Ramones but a little too mainstream.

the Virgin Prunes were also a little known punk band that was associated with a more mainstream "new wave" band of the early 80's named U2.

Don't bash sixth-graders who like Green Day because half of those sixth-graders listen to The Casualties, The Clash, The Ramones, etc. Believe me. I know them.
I like The Clash, a couple songs by Black Flag and The Ramones.
