1. Evaluate the function: f(x)=x^2-7x+10 for the following values
f(0), f(5) and f(-2)

First: the problem gives you the values/numbers for the x-variable

Sec: replace the x-variable with each value

a. f(x) = x^2 - 7x + 10
f(0) = 0^2 - 7(0) + 10
f(0) = 0 - 0 + 10
f(0) = 10

b. f(x) = x^2 - 7x + 10
f(5) = 5^2 - 7(5) + 10
f(5) = 25 - 35 + 10
f(5) = -10 + 10
f(5) = 0

c. f(x) = x^2 - 7x + 10
f(-2) = (-2)^2 - 7(-2) + 10
f(-2) = 4 + 14 + 10
f(-2) = 18 + 10
f(-2) = 28

f(x) = x^2 - 7x + 10

a(0) = (0)^2 - 7(0) + 10
= 0 - 0 +10 = 10

b(5) = (5)^2 - 7(5) + 10
= 25 -35 +10
= -10 +10 = 0

c(-2) = (-2)^2 - 7(-2) + 10
=(-2)(-2) +7(2) + 10
= 4 + 14 + 10 = 28

Hope that helps!
