I had sex with this guy December 23rd and we didn't use protection. I have never been on birth control. My period was supposed to be the first week of the month and I didn't get it.. Instead, it was just light bleeding off and on for a couple days. I have been feeling very tired lately no matter how much sleep I get and I'm rarely hungry but if I am I just snack and I've been very gassy and constantly dizzy and I have really bad headaches occasionally off and on. I took a home pregnancy test January 11th and it came back negative. It was just a pregnancy test from the dollar store.. could it have been too early to tell?? What do you guys think??? From personal experiences, does it seem like I am? I am only 18 and just really worried about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah around the time I was supposed to get my period I also had a little brown discharge. I do not have an STD.. & the brown discharge has stopped now.

Go to a clinic and have them test you. Sometimes you can test too early and not get an accurate reading. If you were due for your period, you could actually still get it even if you were pregnant, but it would be very light...kinda sounds like the brown discharge. Good luck.

It's possible. I would test once a week. It could go either way. I wouldn't worry just yet unless you get a positive on a test. If next month, your period is still irregular and the home tests show negative go to a clinic and get tested there and talk with a doctor about it.

i suggest you take another test. Most good reliable tests can detect pregnancy up to 5 days before the expected period. so as for to early to tell, no. i was very tired in the early stages of my pregnancy so that could be a sign as well. Either way i hope this helps and good luck to you in!!!!
p.s my girlfriend had her period for the first 6 months of pregnancy!!!

are you really this dense?!?! "had sex" "didn't use protection" "never been on birth control"
firstly pregnancy tests aren't very accurate don't get them from the dollar store get a good one from the chemist and get about 3-4 secondly ARE YOU REALLY THIS DENSE???
when you want a child you have unprotected sex thats how it works, if you are pregnant you don't sound even close to being responsible enough to have a child!

well this just happened to me i'd wait about a week or so and then test again and not one from the dollar store.. you can get 2 tests at wal mart for like 7 dollars... but i got mine period about 3 weeks late the doctor told me he thinks it was stress related.. so go get a massage and relax and if you're pregnant.. good luck to you!!!

It's a possibility that you took the test too early. Take another one in a few days. Remeber first morning pee is best to use.
Good Luck.

you should take another test. you might very well be pregnant, but the doctor can tell you for sure. brown discharge by the way, can be old blood from your previous period. it typically comes first, then your period. when i found out i was pregnant, my last period was VERY light.

First of all, Always use your head when it comes to intercourse. You should know better then to ask these questsions when you need to go to a professional. Always have protected sex. You need to get tested for STDS, if you have unprotected sex with "some guy."

I would go to the doctor for a check straight away. It's had to give advise from symptoms you decribe when i don't know you but the safest bet is to see your doctor and always make sure whatever partner you have wears a condom
