To live a life that I won't be ashamed of, and that I will live a life that will have a strong impact on the world, especially in third world countries.

Return to dust? My you certaintly have a bleak outlook on life. Any way, my ultimate goal is to make a difference; perhaps become an ambassador and try to ease the tensions in the Middle East, but what I really want to do is write a novel that will land me among the stars. Better to be among the stars than dust.

Well, I'd rather live forever. Now that would be the ultimate! To go through time and space, and to continue to grow and develop, without getting sick and old and having to suffer the diseases and decline that usually comes with old age. The cycle of life, death and possible re-birth again and again would be nice to do away with and we should just exist without any endings of any kind, just growing and learning and knowing to become happier and wiser without end. This is my impossible ultimate goal! I can dream, can't I? But realistically speaking, my ultimate attainable goal would be to leave this planet wiser than when I arrived and to never have willingly harmed anyone! That somehow my contribution to the planet will be a totally positive one!

Keep shifting the goal-post so that what was supposed to be an ultimate goal does not become a penultimate achievement and void thereafter.

What does this mean..... it means that I do not set any ultimate goal..... I keep happy setting immediate 'small-small' goals that can be achieved soon to repeat the happy experience of setting another goal and achieving it soon. We are small and minuscule; and it pays to remember that all the time!!

My ultimate goal in my life is always trying for my goal and being happy. and don't expect return to dust. because when i returned to dust i even don't be able to know that i returned to dust. so there is no reason for being worry.

ultimate goal?
may be just to stop asking for the meaning of life, just living until the end

I feel my purpose in life is to sacrifice. I want to devote my life to a cause and put forth my whole heart and devotion into it. I want to build at least one strong relationship with a friend and be able to share anything with them and know that should I have to, I would be willing to give up my life and know that I had a purpose and a reason. Even if I did not complete my purpose, I will know that I laied the groundwork for others to come.

i want to follow the footsteps of St. Theresa of Avila (Mother Theresa of Calcutta) Ive always wondered how people like her can achieve peace of the soul in serving people in the most depressing areas. i do not want to be a nun but i want a secular life where i can still serve people (especially those i do not know)

I want cure for AIDS and CANCER.

I want people to understand each other despite of differences in beliefs and cultures. i want to make a difference tht even after death people will still recognize me as the person who made the "world at peace" (literally)

i find that to have expectations is to be disappointed. and usually people say this as a joke, but i believe to flow down wherever life's river takes me, and there is no goal in sight. a few pit stops i would like to make, and even those are constantly changing.

also::: people who want to "live life to the fullest". you annoy me.
