Your question made me reminisce and laugh. When I was about the same stage I could fart even louder and longer than my partner! We are really good humored about bodily functions, but one nigh when we were in bed, abot to go to sleep.... I let one rip, and I swear it actually scared my partner as instead of usually laughing , he was just in stunned silence!! I dont know if it was in awe or disgust! However it is perfectly normal cos that lil person is putting a lot of pressure on your gas bag right now. Best wishes.

Yes, people are definitely weird and say things in bad taste to pregnant women! I didnt get too many horror stories, I just had people mainly telling me how my pregnancy would be, about labor, whether my baby was a boy or a girl (even after I told them the ultrasound confirmed my feeling that my son was infact a boy), that I would NEED the epidural, that I should have a c-section (and the one insisting I should schedule one had never had a baby vaginally), and that I would never make it to my due date, and that I had to be atleast 4 weeks further than they thought. And this is just a small sampling. I think the best one was when a male coworker told me I needed the epidural because it was great. I was like what!!!! Even the men want to give their input! I did read an article about why people insist in giving advice, personal stories, etc to pregnant women. They said that it was based in the fact that childbirth and pregnancy are such mysterious things, and people dont understand alot of it fully, so they are subconsciously drawn to tell these things to pregnant women to fill in their interpretation on the mystery of childbirth. And that the way most people view childbirth and pregnancy is similar to how people view major events that are going on, where people talk about it even if they arent involved directly.

never really without control. I wasn't gonna let gas give me cramps so I let it out whenever I could. I did work though so I waited til no one was around or ran to the bathroom. At night in bed though my gas smelt horrible like if poop came out with it but I had no need whatsoever to go #2

Hi, I'm only 5 months and my 'gas' problem has become out of control. It comes out of nowhere and if I don't 'release' it, I get bad pains in my tummy. Apparently, being pregnant makes your gastric area relax more and therefore way more gas is produced than normal!
