Just received a handful as a gift. Some say "All Night Check $3", backed up with "The China Doll Dodge City". Others say "Good for one screw, Madame Ruth Jacobs."

I'm pretty sure they are value-less but just don't know.

Thanks in advance.

First of all, real ones do exist, but are quite rare, except for the ones coming from Nevada these days, which are actually an ounce of silver. You have what the person said are fantasy tokens. They are from the mind of someone that has wishful thinking. A few I noticed are taken from real places ( saloons that is). They are more of a conversation item but it would be interesting to see just how many different types there are. I bet it would not be easy to put together a complete set, due to no book has been written, nor research done. They have been around for many years and I got some in San Francisco back in 1965 when I was in the navy. That was 42 years ago. Have fun with them

All of the ones I have seen are roughly 40 mm. in diameter and brass or copper. They are all modern fantasies - I don't think you could even call them replicas because "genuine" pieces don't exist.
