I turned on sportscenter the other day and saw Kobey with a new number on his jersey why did he do that and when I do not watch basketball at all any more to keep up with it.

well kobe said it was because he thought there was a new him and he was going to be more of a team player so he changed his number to show that.

He changed his #8 to #24 before the 2006-2007 season started. He changed it because #24 was the number he wore in high school.

This offseason. Because he said his must start all over and show people the new him. So he went back to his high school number 24. Personally, I think it's a load of crap. So is he. He'll be changing back at the end of the season if they don't make the play-offs.

he changed his number because he wants to relive his high school years of basketball and #24 was his high school basketball jersey # and i think he changed it last summer before the pre season starts and one thing its K-o-b-e no y at in the end kk

from what i heard kobe changed his number to 24 becuz he wanted to be better than michael jordan (which is impossible) since jordan was 23, 24 is higher
