i need to know... the property prices in most cities of india are approximately equal and even more than prices in cities like sydney and new york... so why is india still called a "third world nation"?

Why is property prices a reflection of the countries status? I think the proper question should be: why are the property prices so high in India when it is still a third world country. If you doubt that it is then look at some facts:
More than half the population has no access to electricity, proper education, water supply, roads. Even in the largest city in India (Mumbai) only 40% of the people have access to a toilet!! How can that not be called third world.
As to the reasons why property prices are so high - this is just because there are too many people so the demand is very high.The situation is made much worse by poor urban planning and archaic laws such as the rent control act.

For the same reason Goerge Bush is considered an e-d-ot. Most people in the world consider him as a subpar human - same thing with India - a subpar/"third world nation".

i'm from india. i'm pleased with india, yet it isn't the way a rustic develops. India has been in corruption, irregularities and nonetheless unorganised. It now progressing, its an incredibly good information. the respond on your question, is that india has no longer met uncomplicated residing standards, even thought there are lot of prosperous type, there is lot greater poverty.
