Yes, this is a second try to the same question posted & closed before.
I am not talking about anything 'supernatural' or 'supranatural'. This is something that happens frequently to many people. Sometimes you see a person from distance, he/she can't hear you and is not looking at where you are. However your constant look at him/her made the person aware of you.
Sometimes you feel somebody is looking at you...then...you realize there somebody looking at you.

Guess you're talking about intuitive awareness here.

Let's put it this way. We all go through what you're talking about and it happens enough that we know it can't be coincidental. But how can it be explained then?

There are two main theories out there for how this works. One is based upon electromagnetic radiation and clairvoyance. What this means is that when I person becomes attuned with his environment well enough, he can pick up signals that are related to magnetic or electric charge. These charges are the result of smaller actions (i.e. eyeball movement) causing bigger ones (i.e. air currents) which are detected by unsuspected means (i.e. breathing or eardrum vibrations). Somehow, our bodies are suspected of being able to instinctively put the clues together subconsciously and respond.

What's more interesting in the evidence used to prove this theory ; when you detected the other person, you didn't think to look back at the person. You didn't even know the person was watching you and you didn't actually decide to move your eyeballs or rotate your head to meet him. It just happened.

The other theory is that there's no mystery behind it at all. That both individuals knew behind the scenes that the other one would be there. When friends or acquaintances meet eye to eye it's because they were listening to each other (maybe earlier that day or years past) and something clicked to bring the two together in their own minds. There's nothing really magical behind it, they just shared a common interest.

This theory says in cases when neither person has ever met before, their eyes meet because they are both just looking out like when you're crossing the street and you look both ways to make sure you don't get hit by a car. The driver and you would make eye contact because he doesn't want to hit anyone, and you don't want to get hit. Neither one of you have the other in mind, you're just looking out.

This theory also says that prestigious and respectable individuals will make more spontaneous weak links than ordinary individuals. Fame brings a level of social attraction that induces individuals to believe in fate and fortune more often than not. Besides, we're all hunting or searching for the best possible living conditions all the time. Why not be friends with someone who has money, connections, and the same personality as someone who doesn't have money and connections?

I honestly don't know. But I do know what you're talking about.
