I want to know what is a manufacturing industry and what are they up to with regards to strategic management?

Continuous flow lines. Just in time shipments of supplies. Less people to do more. No on hand finished stock. No over run lots.

It really sucks!!! Just in time is never on time which means the continuous flow stops. No over run lots means that we are always short on our shipments because they lose to many parts on the lots. No on hand stock means that customers are having to wait 3-6 months to get their parts.

We have a plant manager that knows diddly and a president that knows even less.

I love manufacturing, it's a very dynamic environment no matter which industry you are in.
