I decided to take my little brother out for a drink. when we got to the bar the bouncer said we couldn't get in. because they don't allow the following:
Solid T-shirts
camoflauge
jersey's
Timb's (which is a name brand of show, they didn't sya they dont allow boots but specifically timbs).
Now keep in mind this is just a regular sports bar we were going to. Tell me, who are these rules designed to keep out?
BTW, Im no rift raft. Im quite sure I make more money than anybody working at that bar, so if they don't want any of it then thier loss. And I will never go there agian.

before you say it. Im aware that places have dress codes, on the way I checked out the folks coming in. Most of the white guys where dressed just as bummy. jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sneakers, so why are they allowed to come dressed comfortable and my little brother was not?

of course I did go to another bar, but that just makes the fact that particular bar has those rules when most bars don't seem that more racist.

yes there were blacks there, I probably could have got in because I so happened to be wearing a printed tee-shirt, and my timbs are old and crappy so I wore steve maddens. But I do wear timbs, and solid tee's.

Yeah, maybe the white guys were dressed "bummy"...but their "bummy" dress obviously didn't include Timberlands, solid tees, jerseys, or camo, eh? It's not racism, jeez. Am I saying that their dress code is cool? No, of course not. It sounds retarded actually. But a bar having a ridiculous dress code is not the same thing as a bar being racist.
Society is just full of morons who feel threatened by anyone who doesn't conform. This bar wants to promote a certain image, and they want all of their customers to "fit the mold". Haven't you ever read advertisements for clubs and bars in magazines and on flyers? "Party at [insert your city's name here]'s #1 punk rock venue!", "Hip-hop nation comes to [insert your city's name]!", "The sexiest goth club around! Call [number] for VIP info.", or something of that sort. None of them cater to a certain race, just a certain "image". It's all a scene...and if you don't fit, you're out.
Ok, I'm white, the majority, the "man" if you will...but OH-NO, I have purple hair, and piercings, and I wear clothing that most people HATE...so much so that total strangers approach me to start an arguement about my wardrobe, and I think differently than them, and I drive crap vehicle....Ooooohhh, I'm so threatening, eh? That's why when I'm in stores the clerks follow me around asking me if I need help every five seconds, cops pull me over constantly to ask me "where are you headed tonite? Where are you coming from?" and then make me sit there for 30 minutes while they try to think of something I MIGHT have done wrong, strangers give me dirty looks as I walk past, old people avoid me when I try to stop them to ask "what time is it?", or "do you know how to get to main street from here?", etc. The fact that I hold 2 college degrees and am working on the thesis of my 3rd degree, have a great career, have no criminal record, have good credit, am a good husband, give to charity, work with volunteer groups, go to church, rescue stray animals, hold the door open for strangers, and always say "please" and "thank you" doesn't really matter for $HlT, does it? I was different at the park today. Your brother was different at that bar. And the general public are nothing but idiots...
P.S. I think you were right for never going back there. F_ck 'em; don't give them a dime of your hard-earned cash.

Sounds like the establishment is either racist as a whole or the bouncer is racist. Where there any black guys in that you could see? Also, you could always try changing and seeing your dress was the problem or if they truly had a problem with your ethnicity. Now, I'm not saying you should've been kept out because of the way you where dressed and I have nothing wrong with what you where wearing, but if they keep you out and your dressed up then you can report them to the better business bureau and hopefully enough complaints can get them in trouble. You could also report them to a news station or news paper who may do an undercover report and expose them. You could also look into sueing, Denny's got sued for a lot of money for blatant racism. Lastly, I've never heard of a dress code at a sports bar. It happens at clubs or at places in bad neighborhoods, though, where wearing certain items or colors mean certain things. I'm sorry this still happens in the world today and expose their a**.

Sound's like they were designed to keep out people wearing Solid T-shirts, camoflauge, jersey's and Timb's. Why do you think otherwise? Did they refuse to let other blacks into the bar? Were there any blacks already in the bar? So if you are ''quite sure I make more money than anybody working at that bar, so if they don't want any of it then thier loss. And I will never go there agian.'' then do just that!

It's possible. Did you ask them if they had a posted policy about it? If not, did you take down the name of the bouncer who told you it was the policy? I would go back and see if it happens again. Dress in clothing that technically violates that policy but looks nice and see what happens. Then have another black friend who is well-groomed go back dressed in very nice clothes (suit and tie, etc...) and see what happens in that case. Finally, have some white guys go in dressed like thugs and see what happens. Then more white guys dressed nicely, but not according to their supposed policy. Take notes on all the results, including the dates, names of bouncers, and names of participants. When you're done, mail a copy to the bar's owner and ask what he suggests doing about it. If he has the bouncer (or other perpetrator) fired or reprimanded and you're allowed to enter in the future, drop it. If he doesn't, you might consider pressing charges...or at least threatening to.
I'm not much of a pro-lawsuit person, but this should be changed if racism is indeed at the root of it. Try to handle it another way if you can.
Or... you could conclude that the bouncer was a jerk, and leave it at that.

its gang related they are trying to eliminate gang violence and gang colours.by eliminating some clothing that is used specifically by gang members it removes the element some what.if the "whites" had been wearing clothing of "gang colours" or colours or clothing that are gang related they would not have been let in.this is happening in Canada in the bars here as well they are now making it mandatory you have pic id with bar codes which they swipe if you are banned or kicked out this information is not only known by that bar but all bars so that in reality you are banned from all bars with this type of 'id'ing.

People who shout out the most about the racism are the biggest racists. For example, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

I would gather up about l0 more people of your
ethnic background and go there again to see
how things go. If it seems to be a racist setting
you need to make it known to the public

Like I told my boy, we can get at them crackas once we clean up our own house. He is pissed cuz the cops pulled him out of his car when he drove past with his sound thumpin. He has taken to calling police the true terrorists. I told him that if we are to expose racism we must clean up our own house fist. We must leave them no excuse to profile us. Cuz at this point brother when I see cats walking into the bar dressed in the gear which you said is not allowed at the bar you went to even I get anxious. I have been robbed, had my cars broken into, been jumped, been stole on, been shot at, and never once has this happened at the hands of a white boy. So lets keep it real real and get our sht straight first.
