I feel sometimes we all can rub some people the wrong way.
It is like that same observation made by the quote, "You can't please everyone"
But usually in our hurried lives and circumstances, I have found that all factors of being can make someone feel the wrong way.
If someone is in a bad mood, your good mood may rub them in the wrong way.
Jealousy comes into play.
Non-compliance with their feelings and understanding on the way they may feel in regards to any denial of their wished response of communicative route, or motive, which leads to the happenstance from the meeting of which this feeling of being "rubbed the wrong way" occurs, even comes into play.
As you may even hear many times in entertainment circles, "They are getting too much air-time" and so, sometimes absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder, and familiarity breeds contempt.
I do not know you, so neither your post nor your person is capable of rubbing me the wrong way, at this time.
Try factoring into your life, if reason for your question of topic matters to you so much, in regards to these people who you may feel think "you rub them the wrong way", a way of not giving them too much of your "air time", and if this attempt at fluidity of being with these people does not work, then maybe it is indeed their motives that creates or stems from their own issues that persists on their insisting on trying to make sure that you DO CONTINUE to "rub them the wrong way", as misery loves company, and who wants to be around negative or controlling people anyways?
