Where I live there is an inversion (lots of pollution) that will last a while. I want to clean the air in my house. Will air filters work with cleaning pollution or should I get an air purifier? Any recommended brands? Thanks so much

Just make sure you get one that has a fan that pulls the air into it.You are not going to clean air if you don't move it like the so called electronic no filter to change brand. You must circulate the air to clean all of it and quietly oreck is my choice you get what you pay for

there is this ionic pure-pro professional air purifier, its basically ionic purifier but with fan. no filter to change, the blade also easier to clean compare to other ionic purifier.
I heard many claim that ionic purifier are not very effective cause they lack fan and suction.
this is price 200 us dollars with a shipping fee of teens of dollars in many site, hsn.com offer 4 easy payment of 49.99 each.
although I not a pro at these, but ionic purifier were also claim to be hareful too. Look up "Health Hazards of Ozone-generating Air Cleaning Devices" on your search engine.

There are some great air filtration systems than can be added to your furnace that will do a good job. Contact HVAC dealers for Trane, American Standard, Carrier or Lennox.
The Ionic Breeze has issues, (read Consumers Report) and has been successfully sued for its false advertising claims.
Shop around, its takes time and can be confusing but you can purchase a good system.
