The envelope flashing on your display screen indicates that either you have new unread messages in your inbox, or that you don't have enough space for new incoming messages. So try deleting some messages from your inbox and see.
Maybe this helps.

This is just a guess, but it could be because you message memory is full, and you need to delete some messages, becasue you can't recieve messages when the memory is full. If you haven't recieved messages in a while it could be that.
Hope this helps

Please give name & model number of your handset,
If you have a non text message that is not recognized by your phone's format and it is "Read Only" then it might be there. Check all your sub folders and if nothing happens just simply restore factory settings under settings if nokia it will ask for pass code give 12345

Happened to my old TREO 600 too. I would have to go back AGAIN to the voice mail then hang up before it would go away. SOmetimes you delete messages and hung up too quick.

As Tim S said thats what it means, if you want to browse the internet that means you have a signal for it but on different networks there might be a cost to it.

You just may have a text msg. Look at your options and go into "messages"--you may find that you have a new message, but written in text.

Sometimes your phone may delay and it will take a while to update and realize there is nothing in your inboxes.
