Do most military men cheat on there wife's/girlfriends, And why?

Maybe because they're away from home for long time and gets lonely. I hate to say this, but I used to work for the MP as contractor and know so many people in the military and only a few were not cheating. Maybe I just met the wrong people. I don't know, but it's hard to believe otherwise when you did know hundreds of people and they being cheaters I know as fact.

Signs are hard to read when your in the military because it changes you and your guy may not act the same way before he went in. Just because he doesn't call you as much doesn't mean he is cheating because he may be busy with his assignment or may finally have some time to relax which is not a luxury when you are in the military unless on vacation and even then they tend to stick to a routine or it will be and to go back after breaking the routine. As far as do military men cheat yes. Military life is hard and when you don't see your wife or girlfriend as long as a a year then it makes giving in to temptation easier. If you have a guy who doesn't like to keep it in his pants or is easily persuaded then yes he is a very good candidate to cheat. There are honest men out there though that do stick to the vows they take when they marry or made to their g/f and really I commend those that can stay true to their g/f or wife because it shows that they are strong willed and am not easily tempted in to doing the wrong thing just because it felt right at that time. You ask that question and it's not just the military men but the military wives and g/f do that same stuff. I don't want all the blame going on the men because there are many ladies that cheat too and as i said above they are also weak and easily tempted to do the wrong thing. Many of the girls and guys that cheat think hey what the other doesn't know won't hurt them but cheating always comes back to bite you in the a**. I won't dare cheat on my husband and is it hard yeah he has been gone 3 months to TX and the thought of cheating on my husband hasn't crossed my mind. If you have a husband or b/f in the military I would sit down and discuss this issue before he is deployed. If you have things that need to be worked out then work them out then and there do not wait until they come back because then it may be too late. That issue may put doubt in your relationship and any kind of doubt in the relationship makes it a good chance for cheating to happen.

Men are men when theyre away from their spouses...but yet so are women...i've seen it on both sides happen before...who knows why they do it...maybe for the excitment or they think they're getting something better who knows...i think whats the point of cheating? if you want soo bad out of a relationship then why don't they get a divorce first thats the honorable way then you can be free to do whatever pleases you...so anyways its not just the military men it can be the wives too.

Probably not. However, statistics indicate that from 50 to 70% of husbands cheat on their wifes.

I think the primary reason for that is lack of faith in God. Men are polygamists by nature and if they don't have any punishment for their sins they will have no real reasons not to cheat if they can.

From what I have heard and observed, it does happen alot in the Military and I think Primarily because these men and women are so far from home, they are lonely, depressed and looking for affection. It is certainly easier to find theses things from others whom are looking for the same thing

My husband has been on countless tdy's and even a one year remote and I had someone tell me I better get used to him cheating on me, well my husband never cheated on me and even though there are chances out there for cheating to happen, it is not going to matter if he is in the military or not. If he wants to cheat he will cheat and and unfortunately anyone who will do that is not worth the time or trouble.

ok.. it has zero to do with what kind a job a man or woman have on whether or not they cheat its about their own personal character and their own personal morals and values.. if they lack accountability for their actions, if they lack morals and values then they are more then likely to cheat.. not because they are military.. My father and my step father were both in the military, both were sent on long deployments, my father was in viet nam for 2 years.. and neither of them every cheated on their wives.. But my x husband.. did cheat on me.. and although he's in the military it has zero to do with him being away from his family etc.. he was at home every night..but fell for a co-worker and screwed around with her.. and as carma would have it she ended up screwing around on him lol.. so it has nothing to do with ur occupation.. it has everything to do with what kind of person u are..

well I'm a military wife and for the record my hubby has never cheated. but I have seen alot of guys cheat and its more about being lonely then Love

around 50% of them, at one point of their life they become infidel. perhaps because of loneliness due to distance that separates them from their loved ones. another thing is, most girls are attracted to men-in-uniform which makes them prone to temptations. in fact, some women even if they know that the man-in-uniform is already married, they still continue with their unfaithful relationship. perhaps again, these women felt some sense of security, not knowing that they are at the losing end.

hey doesn't matter just because they are in the military that they won't cheat...Hey they are just like any person...So I say YESSSSSSSS they do CHEAT big time...Remember even the president of United Sates cheat on his wife..does that make sense to you?
