set the same or different for idle. so it gives it that mean sound it's a 93 polaris

I assume that you are asking about a snowmobile.
If so, the specified setting for the idle mixture screw may in fact be different for left and right carbs (the main jets may be different too). However, the idle speed screw should be set approximately the same on both sides (synchronized idle). It may give you the spec in your owners manual, but if not you may need info from the factory repair manual, or the dealer may have a spec manual that covers a bunch of different models.
