After their parents suddenly die in a fire, the Boudelaire orphans(Violet, the oldest, Klause, the middle, Sunny, the youngest) are sent to live with Count Olaf, their 3rd cousin 4 times removed or their 4th cousin 3 times removed. Shortly after they get ther they learn that he is a terrible person, he is after their fortune, but he finds out he cant get it, unless he is a blood relative or married to one of them so he makes violet marry him but they get out of it and everyone realises what a terrible person he is. so they are taken away to live with Dr. Montgomery Montgomery. they end up beeing verry happy, untill his new lab asistant shows up, "stephano" the three siblings imediatly recognise him as Olaf and he threatens to kill them if they tell anyone who he is. they were planing a trip to peru with their unkle Monty, so anyway stephano ends up killing Monty, no one believes stephano did it, except the boudelaires. they eventuallyprove he did it. and they are sent to yet another guardian. Their Aunt Josephine. She is scared of everything, oneday while they were in the market they meet a man named Captain Sham. once again the boudelaires recognise this man as count olaf and once again no one believes them. he forces her to write a 'will' saying that the children will be left in the care of Sham.and threw her out of the window. but the will she wrote was coded, Klause decodes it and finds out she is hiding in the cave across the lake. so they have to find her otherwise they will have to live with sham(olaf)so they steal one of his boats and sail across the lake in the middle of a hurricane. they find her but she is scared to go back. they finally convince her to go back so when they r on their way bak the leeches start attaching their boat, they were gonna sink if they didnt get help, so Violet made a signal, and someone came! but that someone was Sham. so everyone gets on the boat, everyont except Josiphine, olaf pushes her overboard and they never see her again.so when they get back they prove that he is olaf and they are sent to live at a lumber mill that somerelative of theirs owns. they r forced to work at the lumbermill, oneday klause tripped and broke his glasses, they made him to go the eye doctor, when he comes back his eyes are wide and he is kinda in a daze. Violet and sunny realise he is hipnotised. the next day the guy incharge said he gets to use the machine (it was some logging machine i dont remember exactly what it did) so anyway he had to control the machine. since he was hipnotised he would do whatever anyone told him, aslong as they said the word "lucky" that was like the word tha made him obey. so the guy made him crash the machine into a guy. so Klause gets in trouble and "Sir" thats the guy that owns the lumbermill, says that if they caused anymore trouble he would give them to the lady at the eyedoctor(olaf in discise again)..........
thats only till the middle of the 4th book, my fingers are tired so if u want the rest email me.

It's a good series.
The series follows the unlucky lives of three siblings, Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire, after their parents were killed in a fire at their family home. In The Bad Beginning, they briefly live with a friend of their parents, Mr. Poe before being sent to live with Count Olaf who is supposedly either the siblings' third cousin four times removed, or their fourth cousin three times removed. The siblings discover quickly that Olaf has a tattoo of an eye on his left ankle, and more importantly, that he is a most unpleasant, evil man determined to get his hands on the Baudelaire fortune that awaits Violet when she turns eighteen. In the next six books, Olaf follows the children wherever they go in a disguise so he can get closer to the orphans and steal their fortune. The orphans routinely try to get help from Mr. Poe, the banker who the Baudelaire's briefly lived with, but Poe is always either oblivious to Olaf's danger, or unaware that the disguised Olaf isn't who he claims to be.
Each of the three siblings has a distinctive skill that helps them during their adventures. Violet is always inventing new things to help them, Klaus is always finding out new information through his research, and Sunny has extremely sharp teeth that can bite almost anything in two. In later books, Sunny also learns how to cook. With her newfound cooking ability, Sunny shifts from being a helpless baby to a young girl and begins to speak in sophisticated single word utterances, a variety of incomplete sentences, and some short word sentences as well. Their meaning is either disguised by being spelled phonetically (e.g. 'surchmi' in The Slippery Slope), through cultural references (Sunny says: 'Matahari', followed by a definition of 'If I stay, I can spy on them and find out.'), or being written in other languages (e.g. Shalom or Sayonara). Sunny also outgrows her teeth as her primary skill and adds cooking to her list of abilities, solving problems with both these talents.
