If you have a ghost bothering you. First you can ignore it. If that doesn't work. Clean and smudge the space. You can buy a sage smudge stick at any health food store.
A ghost is only the remainder of a soul that did not move on. It will normally leave if you tell it too. Also it can't go into you bedroom. If you have something that can go into your bedroom write to me.

Get your home blessed. Use holy oils on all your entrance ways and windows. Place a cup of water that has been prayed over in front of every doorway and under every bed. Bless each and every room in the house including bathrooms, attics, basements, crawl spaces etc. If all this doesnt work, consult a witch. If that doesnt work, consult a priest.

Although I've never done any thorough experiments on it or anything I really have never seen or experienced a ghost and I can't say they exist.

I do believe people when they say they've had encounters but I've never had anything and nothings ever hurt me so I think you'll be okay.

Listen to music before you fall asleep or get a roommate so you're not alone!

or a cat
Ghosts don't like cats...or mummies

There is no reason to be afraid. Your spirits are sharing a space with you. All of that superstitious stuff (Holy Water, salt, etc.) is not going to work. Think about it this way, would salt send you out of your home? The best thing for you to do is to communicate with them. Ask them to move on. Don't antagonize them by asking them to "go into the light" or "go to the other side." Just simply ask them to leave your home. Also, don't be rude or angry about it either. They can't hurt you, but they can certainly bug the hell out of you if you antagonize them or make them angry.

Continue taking solace in Hawaiin music, American Idol, and thoughts of High School Musical, since you've answered questions about all of those since first posting about the ghost :-)

Ghosts can't hurt you. They are, at worst... nuisances.

Assuming there is a ghost it isn't trying to hurt you so don't worry about it. You don't need to be afraid of a ghost anymore than you'd be afraid of a living person.

Do a sage smudging around your house, it will drive away any unwelcome spirits and negative energy. Sprinkle salt on the windowsills and doorways of your house to keep negative energy and unwelcome spirits out. Light a white candle and ask the spirit to move onto the white light, remind them that they are dead and should move on and are to go to the welcoming white light. Hopefully something here will help you.

Why you scare of ghost.
They are only people before you.
All of us going to be one sooner or later.
Tell them (if you see them) that you will kick their butt when you become one.

Like I said, they might need your help or wanted to help you (your great great grandfather) .
Try catching the show 6th sense by Bruce Willis and you understand better what I'm talking about.
