Well it does depend on how it sounds with your last name of course, you could use allyson erika combining both, but don't get too cutesy with the spelling, kids will have a horrible time trying to spell the name for invitations and cards etc. And don't give them fancy pronounciations because teachers will have a horrible time pronouncing them.
I love the name Schuyler (skyler is a second spelling) and Arianna or Arianne. Allyson Arianna sounds pretty. Then there 's Linnea (pronounced Lyn nay ahh ) my cousin's name, we all called her Lynn tho.
Anyway hope those appeal to you . Good luck.

Well, you don't here of many Erika's lately. That was a popular name back in the 80's. I think the names are alright. Ultimately you have to pick what you and your husband liked most. No one liked the name we picked for our boy... but we named him what we wanted anyway.

It's a personal opinion, but I think that a name is something that will affect and impact your little one for the rest of her life. Make sure you go with something that will give her opportunities in life.
I have yet to see a business card with a bizzare name on it like Shaquanita or something equally off the wall... LoL
Personally, to me, a name MUST have a special meaning before I would consider it.
It took me and my husband over 2 years to find names for our children. We have been together for 10 years, and got pregnant with our son after 5. As I said, it took us over 2 years to pick out our names... And we did a LOT of research..! LOL
My husband is Cherokee Indian, so the names HAD to be Native American (although not necessarily Cherokee), but they HAD to have good meanings.
Eventually, we found 2 perfect names, 1 for a boy, and 1 for a girl. (even though I always thought we were going to have 2 boys, we actually DO have 1 of each..! LOL
Our son's name means "Powerful Warrior", and our daughter's name means "Child of the Heavens".
