actually u can. you are supposed to dress like you normally do, it is not being in the cold that makes you sick, it is changing from one climate to another. If you live in a place where it is always cold and it is cold in your house then you can go outside in whatever you want, especially if that is the way that you normally dress.

OK, funny story. My husband's legs never get cold. So we were in Germany in the winter and my husband was wearing shorts & a jacket. All over Berlin, little old women told my husband "Es ist nicht Sommer" which translates, It is not summer.

I think you can wear whatever you're comfortable in. Some people are more acclamated to cold weather than others. The Scottish have been wearing kilts for centuries, without anything on underneath them... have you ever BEEN to Scotland in the winter, it's freakin' cold.... however, if that what you're used to then it's ok.

I don't remember any law that says you can't. Just be prepared for people looking at you like you're a fruitcake. Those of us who really hate the cold and have to bundle up just don't understand people who don't seem to be bothered by it. But do what makes you happy as long as what you are wearing is appropriate for where you need to go.

I often get on to my son for exactly that. He dresses like it's summer in 30-40 degree weather. It makes me uneasy- such as I have a coat but I won't get him one.

Sad thing is, I was the opposite wearing a jacket no matter the temp. No one could grasp that I was comfortable. I going to take a step back and leave him be as long as there's no harm to it.

You might want to look at a compromise and agree to bring a jacket/coat or something.

You may not feel cold once leaving a warm area, but the cold will catch up to you once outside. It will be too late to change clothes once cold.

King, you can wear light clothes anytime you want. It's best to wait for a sunny day with very little wind.

Dark colored clothing will absorb more heat from the sun. But if you're not in direct sunlight, it won't matter. And the color of what you have underneath your jacket won't matter either.

Don't wear white after labor day - just kidding.

You can.
I work indoors in an over heated office and I go to work in short sleeves every day almost.
